hey, I just noticed wiki changed the image, it's much less dramatic than it was before, the before one showed NZ taking a huge hit for Australia, and some lulz were to be had

Updated OP a bit, don't have much time today sorry.

Anyway, this thing is huge. Lots of dead + looting now and numerous tsunamis.

The big question is has the world's sympathy well been drained dry after Haiti? Chile may be one of the most developed nations in south America but that still doesn't say much. Will it be able to get back on its feet readily? Will the world chip in to a similar degree as with Haiti?

No. but on the other hand in Haiti hundreds of thosuands were killed, injured or made homeless in one of the worlds poorest countries. Even though Chile may not be as 'advanced' as the USA or UK compared to Haiti it's practically another planet.

I don't think we've heard the last of the death toll from Chile. But you're right I'd say it won't be as bad as Haiti.

Heard today they're starting to ask for help. Their rescue squads and whatnot are getting worn thin.

Not to mention the amount of crime the security forces are facing.
