Can't get my basic command badge!

I'm sure it's not a bug but only me not being good enough *sigh*

It says I need 40 commander points to have the badge. Okay. I got 55 commander points in a round, got the gold medal, but not the command badge!!!

Is it because the end of round bonus doesn't count? pretty sure it's that...but then again

the way things stands right now, I might have the requirement for the veteran command badge before those for the basic....

Sounds like you got the 55 AFTER the times 2 for the win. You need the 40 commander points BEFORE the round if over.

They have to be Commander Points, Not getting a Couple Kills and Then Start Commanding, It Knows where they Came From. And It Has to be 40 Points before the x2. So... it'd be 80 if you won.

Find a larger (40+) server that's nearly empty but playing something like Karkand or Sharqi peninsular - one of the really popular ones. If you're lucky, nobody will have taken commander yet.

If it's a really popular map, you can almost guarantee it will fill up before the map is finished. Orders, scanning, UAVs are your friends. Artillery is a bit of a misnomer as it will add to your kills on your stats but won't net you any points in the round.

Go engineer and protect your assets. Don't get into a gun fight unless you have to. Preferably have someone else repair your assets if they get damaged but this is not often possible so be prepared to repair them yourself.

40 points before the end of the round is your target. If you get the win, so much the better. If not, keep at it and soon the points will rack up. You only need 1000 total for Silver Command.

If you're playing Sharqi, try to be MEC commander. Take a boat out of the southern spawn and sit in it, in the middle of nowhere. Hey presto! that's your transport badge too

I love being Commander, almost always I end up with zero deaths! And always try to get into a vehicle...that is, if no one needs it. May as well rack up time in a vehicle to earn the next badge rather than sitting in a building somewhere hiding. Also, sit at the edge of the map as far as you can, makes it harder for enemy Commander to hit you with Arty...it's usually way off target the farther from it you are. Large maps with few people will always net you more time in the hot seat. Guaranteed.

you also get points for manually spotting enemies that get killed...i try not to sit in a non-transport vehicle - ie. boats, jeeps, etc. - because I'd rather have them fighting for me...besides, I've got my basic aviator, armor, and helo badges anyway....

Thx for the tips every1, many of them are very useful

I'll keep on trying (and to say I still have my knife and pistol badge to get....the pain!!!)

Not only did I succesfully snatched the basic command badge, I aslo grabbed the helicopter and transport badges, all in the first round I've played!!!
