Yes, indeed. Apologies for that. I got some real pissed off texts and Fb comments because of that... Can't do much about it, and not willing to risk another account.Finray wrote:

A mate of mine has the SL500. It's a great laptop, a year old and still looks like new. And he's the kind of guy who usually wears his laptops to shrapnel in that time.IrishGrimReaper wrote:
Does this look like a good deal to you guys?
Lenovo SL510, would be using for browsing and general work stuff, but would like it to play EVE and last a few years.
Best I could get for around €700?

I like the 17" 1920x1200 (non-glossy version with LED backlight) MBPro displays....Freezer7Pro wrote:

But I really recommend going for the 1680x1050 version. Text editing is LOVELY to do on such a high resolution/small footprint screen.
Sigh. There are 1920x1200px panels available for my laptop on Ebay. It makes me angry.Bertster7 wrote:

The old ones before they ruined them by covering them in glass. The display quality just made you happy to use them.
Super high res on small screens is pure win.
I assume you're pointing towards my pick?Winston_Churchill wrote:
Why is VLC in there? wtf
Why would you want to put Firefox in there?Winston_Churchill wrote:

It might not be the fastest, but the addons make it worth better than the others IMOmikkel wrote:

So you aren't really interested in whether or not I like the browser you've chosen to use?Winston_Churchill wrote:

Other people probably aren't really interested in whether or not you like the media player that they've chosen to use.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Eh mate, he's got a point. While VLC might be good to have for compatibility, its tendency to either break in some way, render stuff wrong or just lock up when you open the wrong file should make it a mere fall-back in case another player (such as MPCHC) fails to open a file.mikkel wrote:

He did not have a point. "It sucks" isn't a point. If he wanted to reason his discontent, that's fine, but simply saying that "it sucks" is not any kind of point. VLC has many uses implemented in ways superior to most other media applications.Freezer7Pro wrote:

VLC does indeed have many uses, but it still has so many drawbacks that doesn't make sense to use it unless you have to.mikkel wrote:

How on earth do you divide a byte by 1000?Finray wrote:
The way I saw it: I get MPC with CCCP. VLC is only another ~20 mB. I can spare that on 500GB hard-drive. Why not?
