The womens game was pretty bad actually. IMO it was the exact opposite of the mens game, the American players were better but the Canadian goalie was way better than the American one.
Just like how the mens game the Canadian team outplayed the Americans but the American goalie was outstanding while the Canadian one played like poop
it would mean far more to Canada, win or lose - which to me is a sad comment on hockey in America. in my town, we don't have NHL. most of us here cheer for the Nordiques. it's hard for me to go to work and only a couple of guys were even aware that team USA beat Canada, that everyone was more interested in Alpine and Nordic ski events (well, we do have some nice skiing around here).
i wish more Americans were at least aware, i'm not asking them to be rabid fans . . .

Someone made a good point a few days ago where they said it might be good for hockey overall if the States won, since it might encourage more participation and interest in the sport. Hockey isnt going anywhere in Canada...
