I don't know why they have stuff like ice dancing as olympic sports. All these judge-based competitions are awful. They always favour the host nation too. How many medals did China get in 2008 by coming first in all those robot-accurate drilled performances they did in various judge based events? Umm, as far as I know thats the first judged sport we've won. An interesting fact they did a few days ago (so I'm not sure its still true) was that the US isnt winning if you eliminate judged sports, theyre in 3rd or 4th. I'm not saying its rigged, but most judged sports have serious flaws.

Never said USA didnt win, even you admitted they were getting outplayed though. The goalie is part of the team and yours was better.

Some competitions throw out the bottom and top scores as well. It takes athletic ability to figure skate.. focus, strength, agility, sequins.. etc.

Just got back from watching heat 1 of the Womens two person bobsled. My boss gave me some tickets about an hour before I left work. So awesome to be there and watch. First USA gets in the lead, lots of Americans there so they go crazy, then the next US team ties them to the hundredth of a second, everyone goes crazy. Then Canada sets a course record and everyone goes wild, then they get passed by a few, then finally the last Canadian team comes and sit in first with another course record and everyone goes crazy yet again. Such a cool atmosphere being around thousands of stoked people.
