this is... kewl. there's nothing in the acticle about the range at which they had supposedly been able to intercept the "missile" - if that was anything like a real ballistic missile anyway. still, even though it's probably ages untill that thing is powerfull enough to be able to intercept real ICBM's at the ranges it is supposed to intercept them to be viable for this particular purpose, it looks pretty epic as it is. BM's aren't the only possible targets for this weapon - if, for example, its rate of fire and number of targets it can deal with can be made anything to speak of, and the thing is tuned to shot down AA missiles, and made small enough to fit, say, B-2 (which is supposedly already a bitch for AA stuff to track and engage) - well, you get a fucking death star, tbh.
