Or, more succinctly, "hindsight is 20/20".
What it shows is that, with the benefit of hindsight, you can clearly identify problems, then (hopefully), institute fixes to prevent those problems from occurring again. Sometimes you can't, depending on the nature of the problem--the source is outside your control. All you can do is take measures to mitigate the effects of it. Regardless, people often get confused and think you should have had the same clarity during the events leading up to the tragedy that you have with hindsight. And that's just stupid. It can't happen without clairvoyance.
