i do own a house, i travel as much as time and money allow, and i am by no means a l337 gamer. i suck, actually.
but as far as logging into the forum? i don't game @ work, i just happen to have an IT job and a free minute here and there.
so i log into bf2s.com and explore the topics here.

Making money and bf2s.com are not mutually exclusive. Even if you do make some major bank and travel the world and do some majorly awesome shit, what's wrong with chatting on an online forum? The majority here including me don't play BF2 anymore, a lot of people don't even play that many games at all.
I understand where you're coming from, but it has nothing to do with bf2s.com.
I was just using BF2s as an example. I am sure there are thousands upon thousands of qualified IT geniuses who are loaded and waste their free time on the internet.Bevo wrote:

Lets face it, what good has ever come from the internet? And don't say porn, because it's not, it's unhealthy. Gaming, unhealthy. Online discussion forums, unhealthy. Social networking, unhealthy. List goes on and on.
My programming professor said it himself on our first day "Nothing good has ever come from the internet. I mean, looked how much it fucked your generation up".

Gaming, Online forums, and Social networking aren't unhealthy. There's many positives to each one if you use them correctly, you just have an incredibly narrow view.
Your programming professor is an idiot. Stupid people come from every generation.

I really didn't mean any offense on anybodys behalf. I'm just speaking my opinion (which would probably be the same as 98% of the population of Earth...) that I don't think it's right (and even moral) for professional people with responsibilities to be playing video games. AgainL if you have the money to live your life, whats stopping you? Why are you still here on BF2s?
I don't get it?
I'm always looking for new ways to move forward in life, achieve this and that... And I know if I landed a job with a good yearly salary gaming would be the last thing on my mind.
But thats just me

Meh, I'm off... I made my point.
This:
Workout 2 - Tuesday & Friday (Biceps, shoulders & abs)
Crunches - 10 abdominal exercises, 10 reps/exercise
Dumbbell Curls - 4 X 10 (14KG)
Hammer Curls - 4 X 10 (14KG)
The Plank
Concentrated Curls - 2 X 10 + 2 X 5 (14KG)
Dumbbell Curls - 2 X 10 + 2 X 5 (14KG)
Crunches - 10 abdominal exercises, 10 reps/exercise
Shoulder Press - 4 X 10 (14KG)
Frontal Dumbbell Raises - 4 X 10 (8KG)
The Plank
Dumbbell Raises - 4 X 10 (12KG)
Lateral Raises - 4 X 10 (8KG)
Crunches - 10 abdominal exercises, 10 reps/exercise
And then 7 hours of waiting, yes, that is what we call it... (I am a waiter).
I do this because
A) I wanna be fit and healthy for my girlfriend and for myself.
B) I wanna have the money to enjoy life, even if that is a small amount of money.
I'll live my life to the best my wallet can handle. I honestly didn't mean any offence, Sup, burnzz. Take burnzz as an example, he travels, owns his own house, is an independent successful male. Would you be happy, burnzz, if instead this weekend you are going to stay at home and play the BC2 beta instead of going to Vegas?
I thought not. The internet has fucked a lot of people up. I know a bunch of people online who would rather spend their weekend playing some game than going to Vegas.

i spend $50 a month for my internet connection. i am free, white, and 21. i surf the web where i want, and answer to no one.
what does this mean to you? hopefully it means that someone, six thousand miles away and a generation older, shared the same past time
you did. if you are feeling remorse for the way you've spent your time, do not assume that gives you a right to tell me how i spend my time.

if so, props to him lol. seems genuinely retarded though.
I was showing your example of how the internet could be used positively. I for one regret every second I waste on this silly machine. But I don't have the money to past my time in a different way.burnzz wrote:

I'm still here because I'm bored. I'm stuck in life. I don't know what to do next year in Uni, and I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life.
At least I can admit I am a bit of a mess, but at 18 I think thats Ok.
30,40, even 50? I think not.
my 2 cents.
so you're saying burnzz, killer, etc, are in a bit of a mess because they visit this forum? lol...>rush.Durex wrote:

you lot know what I mean here. you can defend how you spend your time, but deep down you know it's been a waste of time.
Go on, all of you. Give me ONE positive thing you've taken from BF2s. Go on.
Not a clue, but this one is "How much do you get paid?", so you're fairly close to the mark.killer21 wrote:

I give up.
You lot are too arrogant to admit you've wasted a considerable amount of your life. Go on, carry on... Have fun.
And for the point that anyone earning plenty of cash is wasting their life playing games, I'll use my older brother as an example. He earns in excess of £60k per year + car + expenses + bonuses, he's well off to say the least. The down side to that is he works 50+ hours a week for that money, he gets home stressed and fucking nackered, so he plays CoD4 and used to play BF2 until fairly recently just to wind down, he's 35. Just because you're well off doesn't mean you get to live the high life and do what you like, money is not everything, in fact it's pretty unimportant in the grander scheme of things.
That said he did spend 2 weeks in Bali for his last birthday
