During economic booms, tourism skyrockets. During recessions, it collapses.
I do see what Turq is trying to say. Florida is wiping their shoes of the huge pile of shit the state stepped in. Being a property tax/tourism based state as primary income has really screwed the state over. Revenue projections are still flat. Analysts are optimistic as to a 2011-2013 recovery, but I don't think the big O is done fucking up the economy. The entire populous of Titusville, Merritt Island and Cape Canaveral are collectively holding it breath to see if the axe is still going to fall on NASA.
