What's the point of having 500+ facebook friends?
Deep down inside I really don't care what 99% of them are doing day to day and if I really needed to get in contact with any of them I could just search them down. If I really cared for them, i would know to reach them in real life right?

facebook is for networking as well as close friends
chances are people with 500+ friends have befriended a lot of work/business/uni contacts as well. not necessarily all people you'd want to party with. im friends with some internship opportunities, for example.
