@Mek

I guess it depends on the cinema. Especially if you see it in 3D ... great picture quality in this case.

+ really good TVs/home theatre systems are expensive

@KCD, well OK ... but I would still wait

(wait for 720p/1080p x264 tbh)

It's 480p DIVX, looks pretty good on my pc here at work. I'm going to hook up the 'ol projector tonight when I get home.
fail resolution + fail codec?  yikes.

I don't know about Cinema being better than Blu Ray. The picture quality in cinema's doesn't seem that great. It's good, but not like when you watch a really good blu-ray film on a really good TV. What Cinema has going for it is size and sound, but not picture quality. Not even Imax. I've never felt amazed by picture quality/sharpness on the large screen. They need to up the resolution by multiple factors because it doesn't cut out for a big huge screen.
You really havent been to a great theatre then.  IMAX films looks incredible, far better than any other screen I've ever seen.  Youre probably sitting far too close.

I never got the chance to watch this in Cinema on 3D or anything. The best I'll do is just wait for a good quality HD rip to come out I guess.
Hmmm I wonder how long I could get away with puting this movie up on our FTP server without getting caught.... Probably not a good idea.

Anyone know how to email a file 1.5Gigs?

I went to watch IMAX (Transformers 2) here, it was good, but maybe I was expecting more than that. Especially for the price

Use an FTP server ... oh wait

Also, if I think you have what I'm looking at at the moment then you should check the sound quality. It could well be very fucking lame.

Not really interested in paying $70 to see a frickin movie.
Woah... its $15 for IMAX here.

And Free doesnt > all in this case since you are getting a better experience from seeing it in theatres.  I've seen it 3 times... so $45 and it was totally worth it

I at least always experience lag and blur in fast motion with 3D. Could very well be the same with a normal cinema showing, but I associate it with 3D.

Oh, and I paid 0€ for my tickets for me & her. It wouldve been 25.00 tot. but I luckily had frrebies.

I even took the glasses off at some point and looked at the stereo picture for a few seconds, since the blur had less blur.

Only thing I noticed was a little loss of focus on the edges, but I attribute that more to me wearing the 3D glasses over my actual glasses and being a few millimetres further away from my eyes.
