Don't give me this bullshit about the settlements etc. making Palestine into a quasi-concentration camp, which is what I expect the response will be. 1. Jewish immigration into the mandate of Palestine was a condition of the mandate laid out by the league of nations. Not a British decision.
2. The British took steps to stem Jewish immigration into the mandate. Leading to Jewish terror attacks targeting the British as well as the Arabs.
3. The British took no part in the UN vote on the formation of the state of Israel and the 2 state solution as a protest.
Conversely, the US were the first to recognise Israel as a state and have been their staunchest supporters since the 30's.
