I doubt you will even get bcbf2 to run without a 3D card... maybe BF2 if you are lucky

and why is there only a case on one of the three

Then how are we supposed to tell you if they are good if you only post ½ of the system?

So yesterday my PC decided that it wasn't going to read my hard drive any more. Kept saying "boot error" when I turned it on. So I turned it off with the intention of fixing it today ... and it somehow fixed itself over night. Pretty handy.

You need to tell the rest aswell otherwise it makes no sence... sure you could get a E5200 which is fine for surfing and retro gaming,, but if the GFX card is a 5870 it is an extremely bad choice...

magic fingers...

if it happens again try using the fixboot in the win-recovery console...

could be a ton of things but it is the easiest fix to try.. other than turning the computer off overnight ofc

Got 7 x64 Ultimate on mine and I kinda like it. (not that I noticed any difference to Vista tho)

I thought there was a massive difference trying the RC after Vista...

We might use it differently.. libraries sure are welcome though...
Anyway.. I don't want to argue about it

Okay, this is everything but the GPU.  I doubt the onboard graphics from the i3 would be sufficent so I would have to go with this

Get a Samsung Spinpoint F3 instead of that WD

Otherwise it looks fine, just make sure the MicroATX board you choose can provide full PCI-E 2.0 power for the HD5770

How exactly would I make sure of that?

You read the mobo specifications

I believe it is x18/18pin that is full PCIE 2.0 but I might be remembering it wrong...
