From what I understand, if you have Veteran status it gives you some unlocks up front like the defibrillators and ammo resupply. But I think that's all it does.Sisco10 wrote:

I pre-ordered from the EA store, but I haven't gotten a key yet or anything. They'll probably start distribution the Monday that the beta comes out.

When is BF1943 coming out for PC anyway. I want to see what it looks like on a high end system. It's quite cheap too. I bet alot of people on here would have alot of fun with it on the PC. It's a good game with no "ffs" type of things.

Is there any word if they are going to have it on steam in time for the beta? I would rather get all my PC games through that now, saves the hassel of patches which do my nut in (shudders at thought of BF2142 NS bs u had to go through).

BF2 had it fare share of annoying installment too. Not sure if its going to be on steam in time for beta though. Might be through EA or something. But then again there was a beta client on steam so guess it could come to it.

That was on Jan 7, 2010 and haven't seen anything from EA about PC Beta on Steam since then.We are however working with Steam to have the Public PC Beta available on Steam, but can't confirm this quite yet so cross your fingers Steam users. :-)
