BF2S Forums Have you ever had your opinion changed by a thread on DST?

cut and paste from the web isnt much either.

I've changed my views over time, partly from conversations here.

well, i've certainly changed my view on one thing: i thought i could actually speak english. apparently, i can't. at all.

other then that - nah, not really. these forums are mostly filled with people so indoctrinated by their nation's propaganda it would have been funny if it wasn't so sad.

Can't help how you feel about my arguments, and I would be lying if I said I cared. However, if they are so unfounded, youy should be able to do more than merely dismiss them, or deny them, while throwing personal attacks. You might wanna try a counter argument

Can't remember any personal attacks on you TBH.
Many people have tried counter-arguments, you just dismiss information which doesn't fit your preconceived ideas - the OT and NT are sold bound together for example.

I respond to counter arguments, I am not convinced, just like they are not convinced. So who is at fault, or is it you disagree with me so I should change?

Dilbert, your trolling is well documented, you bring little discussion to a thread and more of the type of posting that you are doing in this one.

If the OT and the NT were bound together, there would be no separation of them in the bible and would have no distinct titles. They are separate.

yup they are physically printed in the same book BY the publisher, so what., they are as two distinct messages from 2 distinct eras. One is for Judaism and the other is for Christianity. Or is this where you tell me you can have Christianity BEFORE you have Christ?

Not radically changed my view, but on some issues I have adjusted my opinions ...

Since I first arrived in DST I have had many a good encounter with people that have similar views as myself and the total opposite ... I have learned to a greater degree what have formed the opinion of people I disagree with and why the have their opinions ... I can often understand why those opinions was formed and have caught myself thinking that under the same circumstances I could prolly have had the same opinions ...

What we lack in DST is the understanding of the opposition in most cases imho ...

My views on the degree to which climate change is man-made or not have been tempered and re-assessed as a result of some threads on this forum. I still believe we should be kinder to the environment and cut down on emissions though, regardless of that particular debate.

lowing you throw personal attacks all the time.  Someone doesnt agree with you, you are so fucking QUICK to throw a label out.  When your ad hominem argument fails, you are the first at personal attacks.

A label is not a personal attack. I will also disagree with you on being the first to sling mud. It doesn't happen. ( often if at all)

However I do see your point, if I were called a liberal, I would be offended as well.

I've definitely changed my mind, especially considered to 2005 or 7, don't remember when the game came out. Anyways, for the first couple years, this place definitely was just a shit slinging contest, but now it's matured, people present information, clear concise statements, and there is actual debate. I have learned stuff here, seen information I wouldn't have seen otherwise, and heard stories and experiences I wouldn't of heard anywhere else.

I'm kind of disappointed Galt gave up(I don't believe the original did, but I'm only 63% through the book). When I come here, and rarely post, its not to change peoples opinions, its generally just to speak mine to a audience that isn't retarded.
