I have about 40 folders each with one file in them. I don't fancy going into each folder and copying the contents out, is there a way I could do it in batch?

Are they all the same file type Finray?

Make the following a .bat file and run it from the same folder that contains the rest of your folders

Code:

for /r %%d in (.) do copy "%%d\*" .
Replace the dot at the end with the directory you want them to end up in (enclosed in quotes)

So I did this..

Code:

for /r %%d in (C:\Users\Finray\Downloads) do copy "%%d\*" C:\Users\Finray\Documents\House\Series 5
In brackets is where the folders are, end directory is where they're going.. is this right?

Speakers are the best things in the world when you need shelves. For months, I've been planning to put the shelf up and place the speakers ON it. Silly me.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

not a good idea. You should put something in between that does not transfer vibrations

Not necessary, these speakers are ridiculously over-damped. Even when listening far louder than I ever will, they barely vibrate at all.

Even so, this huge MDF desk has such a low resonant frequency (30-ish Hertz) that it really doesn't matter.

Trust me, my monitors are way smaller than yours and the cones are vibrating like crazy in the upper part until in the vibrations go to the narrow part and it almost completely stops vibrating.

Right. Because our speakers behave just alike.

Whatever. Twas a recommendation. You might as well put your penis on top of the shelf for a "handless masturbation"

Yeah, I know. It'd make sense with many speakers, but this particular model is quite forgiving when it comes to cabinet resonance/vibration. One of the reasons I've got two pairs of them
