What has more to do with ping, computer speed and components or your internet connection?

I would assume internet speed, but I am not surte.

ping has nothing to do with computer speed.  ping is determined by sending information to another computer (a server in this case) and measuring the time it takes for the server to respond to that information.

ping =/= framerate.

actually, Ping is the head chef at one of the restaurants on my old university campus (funnily enough named 'Ping's'). I'm pretty sure that all of the world's internet traffic is routed through his deep frier, and if you've got bad ping, that's because it's lunchtime and there's a lot stuff crammed in there.

for any Victorians reading this - the next Respawned LAN is happening in the Union Building - right next to Pings! - this very weekend!
