Ages is the issue yes. But flying from New York to Las Vegas is the easy part, considering your time zone. It'll be longer on the clock for those driving from California.Mitch wrote:

well i used to play some pokerstars, only really small stakes on omaha and hold'em but then after losing 7 80:20s and endless gutshot all in calls and they hit in a row i went kind of insane, went on a really high stakes table where the big blind was bigger than what i had left, went on auto post blinds and left the roomwhaaaaaaaaaat wrote:

you cant join a cash table without at least 50bb
i might have just gone all in first hand then without looking and walked off, then. it was a while back. moral of the story, i was frustrated enough to make me want to make it so i couldnt play again ever due to having no moneywhaaaaaaaaaat wrote:

any of my friends who play online have watch me play many times and agree i get sucked out on more times than anyone else theyve ever seen, which means the exact people i should be getting money off of are the ones wiping me out with 2 outers.

That's online poker. There's a reason people call pokerstars 'riverstars'. Trust me, it's not just you.mkxiii wrote:

yeah i always see it happen quite a bit to the other people on the table but obviously don't notice it as much as when it happens to me. i just can't handle playing with people so much worse, and im not exactly amazing, and i don't think thats elitist or arrogant or anything, its the same reason i don't want to play football (soccer) with the guys who think its funny to pick up the ball and pretend to play rugbyKEN-JENNINGS wrote:

rigged imo
I never said it was rigged. I said people seem to catch on the river more. Not necessarily a knock on pokerstars as much as on the average poker IQ of the players. Check your hand you just showed....guy called your all-in with Ace/6 off. Not exactly pulling a Chris Ferguson there, was he. I've played online enough to know that hands like the one you posted are common. People online are idiots and those are the people you want to play against.
GG by the way.

thats inferring that online poker is somehow different from live, which it isnt
ive played close to 1m hands of poker online, and ive never seen anything like that. people just think there are more bad beats online because you see so many more hands in the same time frame

Online poker is different than live poker. A lot of it has to do with the players. That's what I meant. People (myself included) call and play hands online that I wouldn't otherwise play live. The gameplay is different. It's a different game. I've played both online and live enough to know that. Sometimes online play doesn't translate to live play and vice-versa. It's just the nature of the beast. There are a lot of different dynamics at play differentiating the two.
You've never heard pokerstars called 'riverstars'?

only fish call it riverstars. of course its different; you were implying that its rigged, which is what i was referring to...
please dont tell me that youre also trying to imply that live poker is more difficult than online. thats definitely not the case. go play 1/2 at a casino, then try 1/2 online. 1/2 live plays like .10/.25 online if not .05/.10

You're the one trying to twist my words. I called the two different and said there are different dynamics at play for the two. Didn't mention anything about skill or degree of difficulty. Read from it what you will
For what it's worth I've played 1/2 at a casino and 1/2 online. I never really bothered playing super low limits online but I seem to remember $5/$10 online playing like 1/2 live. I used to play poker online a lot and I made a decent amount of money from it. For me live play is easier to win at.
So by saying only fish call it riverstars you are in fact acknowledging that people (but only fish) refer to pokerstars as 'riverstars'?
