It sucked and here's why:
The plot is starting the same:

Some one important is getting assassinated
There is an insider, close to the target, that is part of the assassination.
Bureaucracy is not making CTU very effective
Jack Buarer is disturbed in some way, probably patching up the relationship with his daughter.
A rogue agent will team-up with Jack in an upcoming episode.

Just watched the first ep....I hope this doesn't speak for the rest of the season because it really did suck, so contrived and already the story line just seems so forced.

So the first few episodes have been fairly predictable following the trend set by earlier seasons, but holy fuck is Renee a bad ass now.

Her cutting the guys thumb off reminds me of when Jack kills that witness and gets a hacksaw to cut is head off in the beginning of Season 2.

I like it but I always hate how they lead up to something at the end of the episode which makes you want to continue to watch it. They then will cut off and make you wait a week to see what happens. I do how ever like the 2,2 hour episodes because I missed out on 6 seasons. I guess its done to make people watch it who knows but it really pisses me off !!!!

Just watched 3 and 4, pretty damn good!

Same old thing though, starts off with some big plot to kill someone / loads of people, then turns out this guy has a boss in suit, and you'll find later on this guy also has a big boss somewhere.....but it still makes you wanna watch.
