2009 was a good year for me. It could have been way better in school, but I made some very good friends and I had a lot of fun. It was my last year in mandatory Swiss school. From here on to 2011 I think school is going to be shit. Considering I'm in a PC school and the bastards are still having me do math, German, English, French and other junk.
If I flunk it's because of the school subjects, not the PC subjects.

Well the math, german, english, french, history, chemistry, economy, rights (law?) and physics weren't mandatory but I took them anyway (for the knowledge, yay) and it turns out everything except math (algebra), chemistry and physics is going great but I might get thrown out (of the extra subjects program thing) just because of those three.
I don't know what to do, I just don't understand them. Studying harder isn't helping. I need to understand the stuff.

4 year "Classic program":
PC branches only
4 year "Advanced program":
PC branches + math, german, english, french, history, chemistry, economy, rights (law?) and physics
3 year "Advanced program":
PC branches + math, german, english, french, history, chemistry, economy, rights (law?) and physics but all this in 3 years (So no half days and crap vacation)
I took the 3 year program, I can always slow down to the 4 year or the classic if I want to, so long as I get my PC degree.

Your future is determined in the ninth grade (13 years old) by streaming programs with little opportunity for upward mobility, and the students are encouraged to avoid subjects they do poorly in with minimal motivation to take anything outside of their comfort zone.
