lets have a quick run-through of just how fucking awesome that was;

james crushes his bollocks on a plank
they chop down various bits of rainforest
they all crash lots
they laugh at poor people
hammond gets coked up
they laugh at dead people
clarkson nearly dies
they all take viagra
hammonds car continues to explode
they all nearly die from asphyixiation
hammonds car finally dies
they go down the steepest slope in the world

OFCOM are going to luurrrvvve that episode

Was quite good, but wasnt the best of their epic films. Parts of it just felt...unfinished. Was it just me? BUT...there were no challenges or Stiggy

My god, that road, with Clarkson on that edge...holy hell. No ty. For all the stuff that apparently is faked, and stuff that is, that looked real as real.

Worst part: end of the series

Did anybody see James Mays Toy Stories before it? That was pretty damn cool! Shame the last train died 3 miles from the end

That was pretty awesome, but I'm getting tired of them 'forgetting' to put the handbrake on and lose a car down a hill. It's not funny, and when it happens every episode it's hardly a surprising event.

awesome episode, loved the part when they go the police station, and hearing jeremy yell "My ARSE!!!!" was hilarious.

Okay, they brought it back for that episode.

Only bad thing was Hammond's handbrake stunt at the end. It could have been real though.

His handbrake stunt kinda ruined it cos it was a quality episode for the most part. I think they sort of had to do it though. His car was a 2 wheel drive p.o.s that would have never been allowed to go down that sand dune. So they had to do something to make the audience see that he couldn't by wrecking it.

I dunno, it could have been intentional, although looking at the condition of Hammond's Toyota, hard to tell.

I wouldn't care if it was scripted; which it is, I care when it's scripted badly, and predictively.

You guys need to read Andy Wilman's blog I posted back when you guys were bitching at the last episode...

That being said, the episode was EPIC. Not in the over-used sense of the word that every poser loves to use nowadays (along with annoying omnomnom), but truly, undeniably EPIC.

While I don't believe the show to be scripted apart from minor instances, Clarkson was genuinely shit scared on that road and I don't blame him either. I'd need fresh shorts after that.

You mean the one that says "we're running out of material and doing our best not to get shticky?"

Finray is right though, some of the shows gimmicks have been around for quite some time and are getting old. But, the show's been around for 14 seasons; what can you do.

The handbrake being left off is getting predictable, however I still laugh everytime when James' car gets rammed by Hammond, etc. Made me laugh when James said it wasnt funny 4 seasons ago and still isnt now

Personally, I would like to see a return of the Cool Wall (why did they stop doing that??!), more caravan destruction and a second attempt at the reliant orbiter.

The problem with the handbrake is that it heavily alters the story. Ramming James' car is still funny because it has no consequences.

I think they should do more episodes like that. They've been to Vietnam, South America, Mallorca, USA a few times, Romania was it?, a race to the north pole, and the Botswana special. Have they done any others? I'd like them to come here or do some other place.... I love those challenges.

That was absolutely brilliant, and different too.

Tomorrows episode, final of the series:

Spoiler (highlight to read):
In the final episode of the series, Jeremy Clarkson makes a film about the BMW X6 and ends up conducting one of the most expensive road tests in Top Gear history. James May drives the new Vauxhall Insignia VXR, accompanied by Margaret Calvert, the designer of Britain's road signs; and Richard Hammond tests the 340,000 pound Lexus supercar on the Top Gear track.

The boys then try out the latest in electric personal transport in the studio, and the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is blues musician Seasick Steve.

The cars themselves sound great...no idea who the star in the car is tough
