Just a question here,
I have been using Windows 7 for about couple of weeks now and i am now finding that when ever i play a game, that the screen freezes and i have to restart and when it comes back up i do anything on my computer and it Blue screens. I have updated my Video drivers.
Also when i play games, after about 5 mins into the game, all the colours get fucked up and not showing the real colours and then i have to restart to fix it, then it Blue Screens

Any ideas?

if it is a blue screen of death (BSOD) it'll give you numbers like 0x000007E or something - can you catch the #, write it down?

if it flashes too fast, there is a setting that will stop at the BSOD - i'll walk you through it if you need to . . .

yeah - the number is a clue. it might say something like
"Page fault in non paged area 0x000007E"

that ^ is what we're looking for, the first step to troubleshoot it.

with luck he wasn't bsoding

but it seems fairly obviously a driver problem or a gpu hardware problem

have you tried updating your drivers, first of all?

Did you install any new updates or other software before it started blue screening?

Are you over clocking your GPU? That's a problem with W7, put it on default clocks.

This means that something in your computer is overheating. First step to fix it is getting rid of all the dust that may or may not be in your case.
Next step is trying to determin what part is overheating, and replacing that part (or its cooling device).

Also, i have been told by some people.
Because Windows 7 is new, i have been told that dont do any updates cause it corrupts the System Files

True or False?

false, you will want to update to the latest files, it will more often than not fix errors.
most of the relevant results relate to Vista - heres a close match
