Kim Peek, the man who inspired the 1988 comedy-drama film Rain Man, has died. He was 58.

Kim had suffered a major heart attack on Saturday (December 19) and was pronounced dead at a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sad Day.

I always had the utmost respect for the savants of the world. Simply amazing people despite all odds.

I didn't expect him to live too long. He really couldn't operate a normal life. His elderly father was taking care of him. RIP Kim.

But still, its amazing how long he did make it and it should be inspiration for all of us. He was an excellent man and I'll will be sad to see him go.
