Who here's taken an IQ test?

I've taken the Stanford-Binet (the test that "IQ test" usually refers to). Score upon request, though you probably won't believe me. And since someone mentioned it above, yup, been there too, SAT, three SAT IIs, a PSAT, a PLAN and an ACT. I know, alphabet soup. Scores upon request but you wouldn't believe them, either.

Right, ASSWAD, er, ASVAB. Forgot, but that was a compulsory test for me as well. Got a 99 on every section except Automotive (or whatever it was called), where I scored 20 or something. Yeah, I can't tell a carburetor from a...car, apparently.

I too one of those really hard-core ones. It was a lot of fun actually. I think my IQ there was 124 or something.
It dosn't mean anything though I reckon. Just... interesting to know.

Well... that one was a LOT like the other (real!) IQ test I did. Its quite hard, do the normal one. Not the hard one.

was a few years ago now.

but i got it done when i was seeing a counsellor to try to stop my bad road rage (tuggers parkway in peak hour, you understand)

cant remember how much, wasnt much though.

i think most counsellors do it.

Depends. I say scores from both ends of the spectrum are worth testing for. The scores are re-zeroed periodically so that 100 equals a completely average score. IQs have been increasing at nearly 0.5 points a year, a phenomenon known as the Flynn effect; in any case, the distributions are assigned so that 65% of scores fall immediately within 1 standard deviation of the exact average (i.e., 84-116) and 95% are within two standard deviations (70-130). 116 happens to be the cutoff point for "bright" (which I didn't know was a technical term) and 130 for "gifted"; every 10 or 15 points thereafter, you have other, impressive-sounding titles (e.g., "profoundly gifted"). Honestly, my Stanford-Binet results said I was some kind of gifted, but I don't put too much stock in those terms. I may have an IQ above 145 (stronger in concrete functions, weak in fluid or non-memorized situations) but my "common sense quotient" I swear must be in the low 10s, and that utterly kills my functional intelligence...

and one time when i was little i passed a GI Joe guy's arm

but i have taken two official IQ tests, one when i was around 14 and one when i was 19, both were administered by unversity psychology students and were (at the time at least) relativly official and part of their curriculum

imalot dummer now tho
