It's piss easy to get a job.
Getting a good job is another matter.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
This is true. Part time jobs above 10 Euro/hr aren't going to last you the rest of your life.Jenspm wrote:

I don't want them to last the rest of my life.
I want a job from now until September 2010.

Dude. Go back to school man. Glad you've got work for now, but don't give up on your education. Also, don't give up working out man. I haven't seen that video yet, but I read your other thread. If you have any questions about lifting man I'd be glad to answer them. Everyone starts somewhere and as you continue to work out you'll eventually learn proper form. But don't be afraid to ask for advice from experienced litters. Check out bodybuilding.com they have pretty good articles and even videos.
Yeah man of course. I know my form is shite.SonderKommando wrote:

I'll work on it, keep practicing.
I'm going back to Uni in September
Even I'm guilty of it at times we all are.
Getting the job you want (in my case welding/fitting) is hard, getting any job is easy.
Well done on the active searching and finding jobs. My company (it-stuff) hired 45 people the past 4 months so there are indeed still jobs to find.
However, after you finished uni, you usually don't go for waiter jobs etc Most people are looking for something long-term, preferably in what they studied.
Also, there is a big difference when making 10€/£ as a kid doing one thing every two weeks or a daily job where you're not free of taxes anymore. So make sure we're talking netto or bruto here.

Try telling that to the 60 people made redundant at my office, further 200 across our entire company, and the 2000 going at Corus. Nevermind the state of the rest of the Steel, and indeed, Construction industry, as a whole.Irishpride<3 wrote:
I dropped out of University 2 weeks ago.
In 2 weeks I've managed to get 3 part time jobs (1 full time as soon as I'm finished with the other 2) all above 10Euro/hour.
All of these educated and experienced unemployed retards need to stop reading the papers that claim there's simply "no jobs out there" and actually go out and give it a try.
Its not easy to have 30years experience in a single industry, at the same office/factory to then go out and do a bit of shelf-stacking. You cant exactly retrain at that age either, so no, there aren't many jobs out there for them. One of the chaps has become a local postman, and is earning HALF of what he was on when we were on 3day weeks which amounted to a 40% paycut.
Whilst it is a job, for his standard of living, its hardly great. Get some perspective before you go calling all of my ex-colleagues "retards".
and when you stop calling his colleagues "retards", stop calling your half-assed dumbie computer course at college "University". just cause it's degree-level, doesn't mean you're doing CompSci at TCD.

Yeah. Get back into education, and if you're that determined to work out, do it properly. Next time you post a vid, make sure that the exercises are done properly and that you've gained some weight.
I get 20.4401444 Euros per hour writing for websites from home.

After readin this thread.. one can make the assumption that for the youngins... part time job is easy to find... but for the older generations, whom need a full time job to get the mortgage and the kids school fees going through... it's a bit harder to find...

That's not too bad, you can get paid £100 a week for 40 hours here which is well under minimum wage because they list the vacancy as an apprenticeship... Failtazz. wrote:

I worked at a ski shop from March until September this year, making $22 an hour before tax, it was full time. Start working there again in March when it re-opens, and from then it will be year round. It also gives me free trips to the snow every weekend taking our bus load of people up, and paid tips to Japan and NZ every year.tazz. wrote:

I also stayed at the pizza joint getting $16ish an hour before tax, so for roughly half the year I was doing 15 hour days. Still at the pizza joint now until next year though. Been there too long.
If anyone gets the chance to be a lifeguard go for it. I was making $25hr. to sit there and watch people all the while getting a good tan. Granted I had to do 30 or 40 hours of training it was well worth it.
