No, not for the title. They probably would have vaulted Cinci to the title game had Texas lost. That said, I wanted to see TCU vs. Florida and Boise vs. Cinci. And being a Utah fan you had to love watching them beat Bama last year
Eh...wat? It's Boise vs. TCU in the Fiesta. Two non-BCS conf schools in a BCS bowl. The BCS haters should be loving this.pilebomb wrote:
So the BCS is giving us BYU vs. Boise. Fucking cop out, don't wanna let the little guy embarrass a big conference school.
I hope Bama pummels Texas by 5 touchdowns.

so we have two undefeateds in one bowl, either BSU or TCU will finish with no losses, and neither with a chance to claim a national championship. GG, bcs.FEOS wrote:

btw, Utah beating 'bama last year was sweet, only to realize we had no chance at a national title either.

GO DUCKS.
And also, the pairing of BSU and TCU feels like a copout to me. Let them both play BCS programs, it's what they really want. It's also a rematch... uninspiring... or maybe to some it's just the opposite. Meh, ducks will give the Big-10 the reality check they need.

Agreed. I have always felt that the BCS system needs to change, but I now know that the bowl games no longer mean or stand for anything. Its just a fund raiser.djphetal wrote:

Bobby Bowden great coach/legacy, but come on, given a bowl game just because he would like to play his last game in Florida. What ever I will still watch every bowl game I can.

You like that? Got a fancy piece of paper from there too. I believe my type is called a loyal alumni. Our team is in a rebuilding phase, starting with the coaches. Honestly, Tebo is kinda lame. I've talked to him and heard a speech or two of his -um, er, yea, um, er, like (3.8GPA?bs). The kid cries because he hasn't been socialized properly. Home schooling will do that to ya. Wonder if he'll be crying after each nfl loss. I'm wondering when the NCAA is going to step in and put an end to the eye black writing -that religion shit doesn't belong in state events. I'm waiting to see the allah akabar written on the eye black. I digress, but hey - If you're a gator, be excited for his replacement has smashed all of his HS records. We'll be ready.Kmarion wrote:

Yea I'd have a fancy peice of paper to if, at the time, I could have afforded it (I did not finish). Instead I decided to start making real money rather than going further into debt. As far as Tebow being "lame". In my home town there was a girl that was raped, beaten, and left for dead. She was a big gator/Tebow fan, so Tebow decided to meet with her (the family requested). He also gave her a a personal five-hour tour of the Florida football facility and took her out to dinner. If that's "lame" sign me up. He cries because he is all heart.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Touche, but you misunderstand me. Of course he's using his persona to do well, his parents taught him to do good. That isn't lame. It's good he uses his persona for charity. I'm just saying that I was unimpressed. The halo wasn't there. What do you think about the call to the jags from the gov to suggest he pick tbo up?Kmarion wrote:

You say that like every athlete does that, but they don't (OFC). I can't comment directly on his intelligence or if he has "earned" his grades.. But I can say that he goes above and beyond what most do for their community. Especially at his age. I have a lot of respect for the things he has done off of the field.
I think the Bucs need him more than anyone..lol.

I usually hate Florida/Tebow but I felt sorry for him with the whole crying incident. See, I understand that his life is pretty much all down hill after they beat Cincinnati cause he's just not good. And they might not even beat Cincinnati cause they're all pissed off and motivated since their coach dropped them for Notre Dame. Buddy of mine came up with an interesting point though, Tim Tebow's life isn't over cause he's just gonna become a pastor now. Much more likely than a starting QB in the NFL anyways
I've said it before: Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy are three players whose character makes them the exception rather than the rule.
And that's the sad part.
And that's the sad part.

go texas/sec is overrated/big 12 gets no respect/ready for the national championship/etc.
they're in the title game, amirite? they are the second best school in texas, and they get to play for a national championship.Bevo wrote:

last year Utah got shit on, this year TCU, and "big 12 gets no respect". i don't give a fuck if the mountain west doesn't join the buttfuck champs series, i just want the best team playing for the national title.
this year it's TCU.
lol if you think tcu is better than bama or fl
'bama might be the next champ, fl done for the year, texas get's a chance to play for it - i think texas is the second best team in texas.
if texas wins, they are undefeated and nat champs, amirite?
so will the winner of the Fiesta bowl. why won't one of them be nat champs?

because they play shit teams all year
last year Utah played Alabama. this year byu played oklahoma, utah played oregon, and boise st played, well ok fuck boise st.whaaaaaaaaaat wrote:

byu got hosed by fl state (which was awesome) but props to Bowden for taking that game. he didn't have to.
other conferences are finding it's literally a no-win situation to play a mtn west school, because there's no bcs reward for doing it.
utah, tcu and byu are in the top 25 pretty much all year, and once again get invited to the fiesta bowl.
should change the name to "now your fucked bowl", or "NOT the national championship" bowl.
