If anything, being PC is literally destroying this world country. I'd rather build and try to make things better then worry about people who don't want to do anything.
I never said AIDS is not dangerous - but you don't infect people unless you're not careful. They can have sex with condoms, you know. I don't think responsible AIDS patients should be quarantined - I think they should have a legal obligation to inform sexual partners, and stringently checked for mental instability, as they are carrying potential weapons.

Abstinance is the only way not to spread AIDS, that's also the only way to make sure someone doesn't get preggo's(well anal for the pregnant thing too)..
You never know when a responsible AIDS patient will snap. Could you imagine living knowing that your life is shorter then it probably should have been + all the medical expenses that come with it.

We're also talking about a sickness that if treated right, could be gone in 4 generations.
I see, so you think it is "reasonable" to leave the responsibility of NOT spreading AIDS to the individual. Got it, well, REALITY and MYSELF will just have to disagree with that line of "reasoning".konfusion wrote:

No, I think it's reasonable (no need to put it in quotes) to put a stringent system in place to allow those who are able to do it themselves. Abstinence will not rid the world of AIDS. HIV exists in animals, in many more cases than we can know.lowing wrote:

If you start quarantining people because they have AIDS, people will be more likely to forge or forgo AIDS tests. You risk creating an underground movement - and certainly violate countless HUMAN rights.
I'm just hoping we find a cure for the damned thing.

you have an argument there, but I have a human right NOT to be exposed to deadly diseases. You simply cannot trust someone to do the right thing, that is not going to fix the problem.konfusion wrote:

I think the real issue in this forum is, none of you know a life without AIDS in the world, so you are just used to it. Believe it or not. there used to be a time when sex, kissing, touching etc did not have the potential of being deadly.
Don't worry about the ban lift, there are millions of brave citizens having sex vacations all around aids infected areas right as we speak and they all go home to their loyal waiting husband/wife someday, spreading the love like never before.
viva la aids!
viva la aids!
and the second they leave the country they can not come back in, if they have not been quarantined in the first place.Chou wrote:

So we should just give everyone AIDS then?
Not really sure where ya got that from, must be some more of that flawless liberal logic you all are so proud ofcpt.fass1 wrote:

Yeah lowing cause I"m a liberal.. You're way more liberal then me with your blind devotion to large companies and love for supporting them..
But I was just making the statement that we should just infect everyone so that way the people with AIDS won't feel bad, because everyone has it.
Instead of doing something more proactive to stop a sickness.. Segregation worked for Leapers why not do it for a more dangerous ailment. We literally confine H1N1 victims so they don't spread it..

I like this... in fact, we should seperate anyone who is healthy from anyone who isn't... including flu, colds, etc.cpt.fass1 wrote:

That way, we are a country of healthy people, and we'd never have to take a sick day again!

Crap some was some wasn't..
I'm all for actually doing something drastic to stop the spread of this, even if it's just in Africa.

Africa is very far from being able to help itself. AIDS is not even the biggest of its problems. Rarely does a non-corrupt person lead the country without being immediately overthrown by some general on a power trip. Very few places are stable...

I'm all for that, so why wouldn't someone try to take care of the healthy people?
Just saying that whole country is fucked and it needs to start somewhere. AIDS, Starvation, Genocides? If they stopped feeding the AIDS infested maybe the other problem would start going away.

FSU is on it. Kinda would make a few national championships and a Heisman award look like nothing.konfusion wrote:

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
It has already been proven letting people govern themselves, and rely on them to be responsible is not only irrational it is also WAYYYYYYY out of the realms of reality.cpt.fass1 wrote:

Pretty much like saying everyone should be infected. And sorry, there is nothing conservative about your approach.
By the way, I do love big companies, they employ me. Can't remember the last time I asked some piece of shit liberal leech for a job.
You haven't worked in Europe then - we're more liberal, in general. (sorry for going off-topic)lowing wrote:

Really? So you have asked a poor person and not a rich person for a job before? Do tell.konfusion wrote:

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

and yes rich liberals like Palosi and Obama are only really setting out for your best interests.Spark wrote:

Just like a liberal union. Do you honestly think they give a shit about you more than your ability to pay dues?
and no there are rich liberals, however, none of them got rich through liberal ideology, so they are hypocrites more than anything else.

Really it's already been proven by whom? P.S. I thought that we were governed by people?lowing wrote:
