What ever became of the investigations finding the guy or people responcible for mailing Anthrax to the Press and White House ? Why haven't we heard anything about it ever again ? I mean that was what 4-5 terrorist attacks on America right ? And after 5 years of searching , if we still are lol , then why don't we have any leads ? I did a search and found this . Funny how we never really labled it a terrorist threat considering Anthrax IS biological warfare component . Even IF it was just an act of one lone man why not call it  terrorism ? Putting Anthrax in the mail will probably kill a few people but the media of course will blow it up and people will be terrified . So why not call just call it terrorism ?

Right wing terrorist groups are of no concern to the Dept. Homeland Security,  come on they targeted Tom Daschule.  Now if the letter was addressed to Tom Delay it would still be a front burner issue and Haliburton brand anthrax resitant duct tape would be an impulse item at every grocery store.

Would have been pretty strange if they weren't.

This page has lots of good info on the whole incident:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_anthrax_attacks

What interests me is the strain used:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_anthrax_attacks wrote:

"Known as the Ames strain, it was first researched at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), Fort Detrick, Maryland. The Ames strain was then distributed to at least fifteen bio-research labs within the US and six overseas."

http://www.ph.ucla.edu/epi/bioter/theamesstrain.html wrote:

"The notion that only a state-sponsored biological-weapons program could produce the dangerous, powdery anthrax is one of the assumptions now being seriously challenged. The White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said last week that the anthrax may have been produced by "a Ph.D. microbiologist" and that "it could be derived at a small, well-equipped microbiology lab" -- the nutty-professor scenario. Fleischer may be right. The scientific know-how involved in weaponizing anthrax is formidable, but it is out there, and the technology is available. One of the steps in making a powdered, airy form of anthrax is freeze-drying the spores, along with the anti-caking material, in a lyophilizer, or freeze-drying machine. A new-model tabletop lyophilizer can be bought for less than eight thousand dollars."
So, they that it was a James Bond villain / evil scientist scenario and that:

* They had a Ph.D. in microbiology.
* They would have needed a new generation tabletop lyophilizer.
* They had reason to send anthrax to government employees and newspapers.

Sounds to me like that would narrow down the field a bit when looking for suspects.

Still, if it the attacks hadn't taken place, then there would have been no real need for spending $5.6 billion on Project BioShield, so I guess there are quite a few microbiologists who get a piece of that pie.  Maybe work was a little slow that week or something.  Still, with a Ph.D. you'd think they'd have more sense than to risk execution for murder, wouldn't you?

do you drink directly from the mason jars?  If so, you have my vote for president.  Personally, I prefer to drink directly from the bottle, or the puddle on the ground after I break the bottle.

It should scare you when you find out that H5N1 is similar to a strain known H1N1, or the Spanish flu. Killed 50 million people.
Scare me a bit, yes.
Impress me, no. It's dead. It doesn't do anything.
You are silly.

I take a mason jar and put 5 ice cubes in it . I pour in about 4-5 shots of Bacardi and top it off with a can of coke  . 9 times out of 10 I make a perfect drink and it's filled right to the top . I use a straw to drink it . I rip through about 4-5 a night .

Don't even know what that obtuse reference is supposed to mean, but every interpretation I can find makes me think that you really have never been to a proper party.  Loud music, dancing, drinking and maybe drugs are all you'd get on film at the parties I help organise.  It's a shit party if people feel the need to get violent.  And you won't get in to take pictures anyway, cos the next one I'll organise will have a "no jodhpurs" dress code.
