Lols it's both, they are likely to alienate the majority of America and Obama would practically be strolling to a win in the general election.  The infighting that would insue would split the Republican party into two or three different parties, further dividing the vote.

Doubt it.

But most of the people who think a Palin/Cheney ticket don't get how Palin is more of a Christian Conservative and Cheney is a neocon. (you know that group that didn't care for social conservatism and only wanted to spread freedom and make money, good bless their souls.) That ticket would implode into one crazy event that involves a drunk Dick Cheney shooting Sarah Palin in the face with something other than his penis.

The republican party is already split enough, a ticket that conservative would drive the moderate wing of the party to do some crazy stuff.
