An express train carrying hundreds of passengers from Moscow to St. Petersburg derailed, killing dozens of people and injuring scores of others in what an official says "appears to be an act of terrorism."

"We have the blast remains; a crater. There is little doubt this is terrorism," a source in Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's office told Fox News

So terrorists blew a track and derailed a train huh? What do they want with Russia?

Litvinenko's book shows that the Russian government are perfectly capable of partaking in such acts. That said, they have Chechen rebels running around blowing up shit all the time, no reason this is anything different.

Yea, it's not like Russia was ever immune to terrorism. Hell, the Soviets trained many insurgents back in the day that are still operating today, that is if you believe Tom Clancy. But yea, Chechnya is still unhappy with them. Russia's huge and encompasses many ethnic groups, many far away and without any natural cultural connection to Moscow. No reason to assume everything is peachy across the entire country.

Rather often actually, Chechnya has been a big pain in the ass for Russia for more than 15 years. This isn't a one nut, it's 1000's of people.

I was talking more about the rebels who captured Russian conscripts and tortured them to death, the point is there's far more casualty's out there than you seem to think. It's just they aren't reported so much because it's nearly a 20 year war and Russians aren't too press friendly around there.
