Well, considering a 'German' Germany didn't really exist for most of that time, I'd say any weapons that the German 'Military' (primarily the British, French and US) were from those countries. Same for East Germany.

I do know however that the FAL (FN, so a Belgian weapon) was used quite extensively in West Germany, but as for lower caliber weapons I don't think they differed much from WWII weapons.

Yup--the Allies forced the German Bundeswehr to disband in 1946, and French, British and US forces occupied the country for the duration.  I'm guessing the French soldiers carried FN FALs, US forces had M14s and the Brits used Bren LMGs?  Not sure though.

This is one of those all-encompassing questions that can be answered by a trip to the local library.

the bundeswehr was introduced 1956...   between 1945 and 1956 there was no german army...

first units were equiped with us weapons...   like m1...

in early 1958 (some say 1957 - the g3, mg3 (nearly same as mg42) and P1 (nearly same as P08) showed up and beacame the standard small arms till the mid 1990´s   replaced by G36, MG4 and P8

heavy wepons and tanks, planes etc - were replaced step by step. around 1975-1980 all weapon system were "german"  - only some systems were coop system or still american...   (like mars (rocket artillery) or phantom (plane))
