you do know tax dollars go to feeding inmates.... Kill em!!!!!!!! ...... wrap there bodies in wet rawhide.... when the hide dry's it will squeeze them out like a tube of toothpast
Actually with the US capital punishment system it costs more to put an inmate to death then have them serve life. Including the appeals process of course.

Some arguements against capital punishment are wrongfully charged suspects, the possibility of the offender to work and give back to the family that lost, the violation of the 8th amendment (in the US), and again, the cost of putting a man on death row in the US. I don't completely agree or care about a few of those, but I thought I would list some.
Another reason that many people don't consider is the family of the offender. It must also be very difficult for the parents of such an individual to come to terms with the fact that their son or daughter has taken part in the brutal murder of a child. Not only that, but now their child will be put to death as well. While some families can be put directially in the blame of how morally corrupt their child is, sometimes that is not the case.
Personally, I don't believe in the death penality just on the premise that two wrongs never make a right, and it puts a price on human life. However, I'm not about to go picket outside of an execution against it because there wasn't any bleeding hearts to save that little girl in your example. I can try to place myself in the shoes of that little girl's family, but I can't even imagine how that would feel. I would like to think I would feel the same way about it if it happened to someone I knew but to state that my mind would not change would be complete arrogance.
