Did this dumb woman ever think when she first started to inhale smoke in the 60's and choke... that maybe smoke is bad for you?
What the fuck ever happened to personal responsibility?   If she started smoking to look older as she claims... then she is a retard.

Yeah, I'd have to say that if you're condition started, or was conceived during the era when tobacco companies could openly lie to you, then you deserve a piece of the pie.  It wasn't even lack of information, is was purposeful misinformation...  $$$$$$

If I sold you something that was marketed as a health product, and then it ended up killing you, I'd fully expect to be sued. 

Obviously probably before the 60's, but just showing how much deception there was....

Had she started smoking recently, she'd have had it coming, and any kind of compensation would be ridiculous. I have to agree with Chaos Haze, though. The tobacco companies carried out huge campaigns of misinformation back then, and they deserve every bit of this.

Umm, I thought the class action lawsuits that every state filed was supposed to indemnify the tobacco industry from that point forward. I'm pretty sure the state of Florida was in on it and therefor this woman's lawsuit should've been thrown out because she was already a beneficiary via her state. I doubt it will pass the appeals process in her favor.
