That and Fox News is closer to Pro-Wrestling than intellectual debate and analysis - so the remote-flipping masses are more likely to stick on it.

Fox News is not really a news channel in the normal sense, any more than topless darts is a sports show.

I have. The same could be said of their competitors. Quoting yourself doesn't change the fact that I find the need to explain this extremely disappointing. Fox news offers opinion pieces as well as reporting the news. There is an obvious line you are trying to blur.

The blurred line is between News and opinion in Fox News. So often they are both in uninterrupted sentences the average person (lowing) doesn't know the difference.

And in fact so much of the 'news' is twisted to fit around the agenda it should really be 'Fox Agenda - We tell you what to think'.

Bull.. O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck all make it clear that they are offering opinions. You're mostly likely just disappointed that they have an audience that is so willing to listen.

But do you think the audience always differentiates between opinion and fact? They say they are offering opinions, and thats fine. But it would seem (in my opinion) that there is something wrong when people use their (the various hosts) opinion to justify their own. Like it holds some sort of merit.

Always? Of course not.. but no more or less than the audience of their competitors.

Unfortunately the rest of the world is only seeing these huge 24 hour cable news corporations. If you just want reporting watch the local news. They usually report world news also. The problem with the Cable news networks is that they have so much time to fill. So they supplement with loud characters for entertainment value.
