- Here we go again, but it is ok to "jump to conclusions", it's "racism"
Weird behaviour for a pre-med student.
Difficult to say. Bit of both - her fucking around and the police over-reacting maybe.

I have seen this attitude before. At a waterpark a few years ago, I got into it with a couple of black women who took my families belongings off of the deck chairs we had set up camp at and then set up their own. I challenged them, and was called everything except a white boy, no wait, I was called that as well. I would not back down and they finally got up and moved. This could have easily gotten blown way outta hand. The same day, we witnessed and were victims of line cutting and just general rude behavior. Never again will I take my family back to that park. Anyone that has bee nthere has the same experiences.
Everyone has done this, but what makes this relevant is, by standing up for myself and proper water park etiquette i was labelled a racist by these women, when n fact, race had nothing to do with it.

Well, the cash register video clearly shows she was shoving that other persons stuff out of her way and that's a pretty good way to find trouble. And she also was apparently yelling and cursing too so I don't see any wrong on Wal Marts side for escorting out of the building.
In fact nothing really serious seems to take place until she and the officers are out of the security cameras range. Something obviously happend once they were out of the camera range and it seems unlikely to me that the cops and guards would've just decided to grab her and drag her back to the car without some type of threatning action on her part. However, any Wal Mart I've been to has had at least 8 or more security cameras mounted on the front of the building covering the entire parking lot. So it seems odd to me that they would have a blindspot in the parking lot like that. Especially so close to the entrance. I don't know, sure would be iteresting to see what took place off camera.

They didn't really give us the whole story it seems. If she was shoving people's items out of the way on the conveyor belt then that's a sure-fire way to start an argument. It doesn't warrant racist remarks but it's kind of like blowing in a pit bull's face. The pit bull shouldn't bite you back, but don't complain if it does because you're instigating it.

But I have personally experienced members of a certain ethnic group throwing the race card into the mix when it was entirely unrelated, and then the whole situation rapidly falls apart

Yeah, me too.S.Lythberg wrote:

Some people are legitimately descriminated against.
Others try to play the race card to win petty arguments completely unrelated to race (and usually look like idiots by doing so).
ITT: Racist
Just kidding

Difficult to say really.
The 'race card' has been overplayed, as has the 'complaining about the race card' card.

Seems like there is a lot of tension in that city from both camps that again makes incidents like this spark easier ... by just reading the article I would say both parties did their fair share of wrong behaviour ...

How so, she was rude, and the other party was not going to stand for it? How are both wrong?Varegg wrote:

I wasn't there so I wouldn't know ... but reading the article both sides over reacted, seems like she made the first mistake ...lowing wrote:

Nope, people reacted to a rude bitch. Their reaction was not an over reaction. It was proper. Unless you are saying someone who cuts infront of you and pushes your shit out of they way soes not warrant your attention.Varegg wrote:

Also if you wann know the truth, the tension in that town comes from behavior just like this woman presents. It is a common behavior, and people are sick of it.
Maybe you'd feel better if shopping lines were segregated to avoid this sort of thing in the future...lowing wrote:

Yes it would be separate but equal, lowing style.AussieReaper wrote:

Lets just say this would not have happend in many other countries than the US, I have yet to experience the police getting involved in a "cutting in line" incident ...lowing wrote:

That alone tells me that the incident have more wrongdoers that just the woman cutting in line ... a conflict is never one sided lowing ...

Hmmm Wall Mart is a serious business(edit shit hole) that why I stay away from there.. I've had the same experiances with line cutting from Hispanics, Black, White and it usually a lower class person. But I guess it's important to get to your car when it's hot out and your windows are open and you left your youngen in ther cause you were "going to be quick"..

"Oye ese, get joor things off dis belt, before I fuck joo up"

"Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough."

Yes I would, rude obnoxious people in one line, and people who show common courtesy in another. Good suggestion.AussieReaper wrote:

This is probably true, you have more important things to get arrested for, like a soccer score. Is the air thin high on that perch of yours?Varegg wrote:

She made it a race issue, not the people who stood up against her bullshit. Unless everyone thinks they would have allowed a white person to do this without incident.cpt.fass1 wrote:

This is nothing more than another example of Henry Lewis Gates type behavior.
Did she or was made a race issue by the media?
you are correct, partially, it was her supporters who made it a race issue.cpt.fass1 wrote:
