As for the fog, yeah, that's supposed to be there.  In fact someone posted a screenshot of Karkand without the fog and promptly got wiped for using hacks (there's no other way to get rid of it without hacking).  So if your draw distance is already at 100%, you're going to have to get used to that fog.

Why don't you help that poor guy...just take the fog off...for gods sake. To do that, edit your graphics config file and change the number for fog to ZERO (0, nolla, nill...)

P.S. You still have fog on some maps...
