Absolutely superb, I didn't think Jolie had that good of a performance in her.

I thought it was brutal. The plot was too predictable, and at some points I couldn't believe the cliche dialogue that actually made it into the final script.Kmarion wrote:

It already came out for DVD? You should get a WD TV HD media player and an WD external hard-drive. That way you can watch it on a much bigger screen.Kmarion wrote:

There's nothing wrong with District 9. It certainly doesn't warrant warning anyone that it's shit because it comes down to a matter of opinion rather than the quality of the film - which is by most accounts pretty good.

Yeah, I use to also do that until it became to much of a hassle. It was better[for me] to purchase the equipment and keep it hooked up most of the time(while occasionally adding new videos onto the hdd). With the laptop I didn't have access to it half the time and had to mess around with the TV setup.Kmarion wrote:

Would you mind listing what you purchased and how much it was for your home theater system?Kmarion wrote:
I had it streaming from a dedicated media pc. But I think my hdmi cable went haywire.. it's the only thing that makes since.

Swedish film based on a novel from Stieg Larsson. The book was awesome and decided to watch the movie well aware that I might be disappointed. But the film was very good, they managed to capture the most of the story very well.
This is a trilogy, I think it's called Millennium (some swedes might correct me on that? ;-)) and the second film is out on cinema these days.
I will also recommend to read the books. I'm pretty sure they've been translated to English.
