I could swear that guy in the blue skates looked like zeek. I still have that raging clue, though.Finray wrote:

Yeah, here's a comparison to my friends 44" Lush Bahari, mine is tiny. Longboard is long.Uzique wrote:

Yes, the shoes are there on purpose. They're probably next in line to wear the soles down on, unless I find better ones (better as in cheaper and which feel as good on as they do).

sorry but (proper) skateboarding doesn't touch rollerblading... ive done both, and there's no contest. have you ever been to a competition or a skatepark and seen skateboarders? they try the same repetitive tricks over and over on the exact same ramp/rails for hours at a time, often to no avail. i prefer to put my ipod on, cruise around on my skates, and enjoy gliding over all sorts of shit, being a stylish motherfucker. getting all frustrated and throwing a plank of wood around all day just doesnt have the same attraction. the laid-back culture of it all is just the best though-- ive had some amazing times partying and generally having great sessions/roadtrips with rollers/skateboarders/bmxers. all of these sports are a big fraternity, really.
im done now. that's one of my favourite sections ever. chris farmer is a UK hero.

oddly enough that's about the time i was playing street hockey.. your not excatly comparing apples to apples. Two very different things. One was a team sport that often ended up with someone getting the shit beat out of them.Uzique wrote:

shiyeet i love rolling around, it chills me out, but the rollerblade-based sports havent got anything on the actual culture. i guess it used to be called 'aggressive' inline, to draw a distinction - back then in that early 2000's era when everything was XTREME or HARDC0RE or PRO or GEN-X or AGGRESSIVE or some shit.

This. You can't really take a skateboard to the streets. Well, you can, but.. I see this one guy kicking his way down a slope by my street a few times a week. Kicking down. You should be able to cruise and carve that shit.Uzique wrote:

Yeah I had come across a torrent free, legal download of a bunch of DJ Shadow stuff, and Dr. Octagon was thrown in there. Decided I might as well give it a listen, and I loved it.Uzique wrote:
