This thread would have been better if it was about cops trying to confiscate a camera or something instead of being about biker jerks.

- I love it when authorities can't do shit, but say they can
The moral of this story is that authority is bad regardless of situation or precipitating actions. That doesn't seem like a very strong message in the long run.

1. It was a straight, right before it actually got to the mountains, it was probably a 10 degree incline and no curves for a few hundred yards (the whole park is double solid yellow lines)
2. I do know what the laws are, I didn't mean to type it out like that, that was a mistake... I meant apparently that's what they got me for
3. It's not a huge mountain, probably a mile and a half of road, and no I didnt speed I took the turns and the whole road at 20mph... I don't fuck around on bikes anymore
And yeah I post about motorcycles so what? It's a hobby of mine. The accident on the busa was sad but I sold everything off it and made $2200 off of it and sold my shadow and got this one
I name the bikes for anyone who knows what they are and rides with people
Another thing: I know it was illegal, I'm not denying that. Yes, they could have actually given me charges by getting the police involved, or I could have gone under a judge and received the consequence. But the part I mention is funny is the fact that they said they could do many things, and that they did ban us, but the truth those were hollow words

Most of our Pine Pigs are asses. They do carry guns and can arrest you though.ATG wrote:

So you would stand before a judge and say "But your honor, it was totally clear, I mean, I know that laws are laws but it's ok in this situation right?"GodFather wrote:

Your track record would prove otherwise and I speak from experience, I ride sportsbikes too.GodFather wrote:

You never recieved a citation stating anything? Unless it was recorded down (in which you would need to recieve a copy) you havent been charged with shit. This story sounds like codswhallop to me. Unless you're leaving parts of the story out.GodFather wrote:

Also GodFather I'd be wary. Even if they don't have arrest powers, they're probably good friends with the guys who do.
You guys probably mouthed off a bit too much.

Mouthed off.
Got told.
Didn't like.

He's making the highly probable assumption that you at one time or another have broken the law (or more specifically the road rules).Zombie_Affair wrote:

Wait...the person in the car actually reported you passing em. wtfGodFather wrote:

If you actually paid attention to the OP, or the title, you would understand. I didn't get a citation, or any document whatsoever, but was still told I was given trespassing & am now banned from the park. The police led me to believe they had the authority to do such actions, which I somewhat believed until I got home and googled it.Zombie_Affair wrote:

If I went before a judge I would have been found guilty. I did not go before a judge yet was told I was charged anyway. Do you not get the point of the fucking thread?
I wouldn't be here talking about how cops make you think they're in the authority of doing something when they are actually not if I went before a judge and was charged.Unless it's written down, how the fuck did they get you for anything?GodFather wrote:

Yeah, after the busa, I don't fuck around. I've gone fast enough and am aware that sport bikes put you in a bad spot quickly if underestimated. I don't regret speeding like a motherfucker on my Honda Shadow, because that was good fun. Now that I ride a GSXR cops pay a lot more attention to me and my driving habits because people with fast vehicles tend to drive them quickly. I learned this after a cop followed me for 7 miles until I did 10mph over... He said he saw me at the intersection and figured I'd try to pull some shit so he followed meYou never recieved a citation stating anything? This is what's bullshit, more lying police. The car hadn't even reached the summit when we were told this. We were initially followed by a ranger once we entered the park but he turned a different direction after 5 or so minutes. I assume he saw 4 sport bikes and radioed to the other rangers & watched us with binoculars until we passed that car, then radioed up to the other ranger at the summit to confront us.Gamematt wrote:

And no, we didn't talk back, because that gets you nowhere with police. If you want to explain why you broke the law or explain that the cop was in the wrong that's an argument for the judge, not the officer.
This is essentally what happened
Entered the park
Followed by park ranger
Waited at the bottom for group of cars to drive up the road a bit so we wouldn't get stuck behind them
As I put my bike in gear another car drives up
My dad says, "ahhh damnit, we will just have to pass them"
Drive up the road and immediately pass them on the straight away
Take the turns at about 20-30mph all the way up (didn't see one speed limit sign anyway, just suggested speed for turns)
Arrive at the top, see ranger on side of the road talking into his radio
Park at the top, each motorcycle in different spot
Dismounted from bikes, placed helmets, on seat, stretched legs and looked at the view
Ranger slowly rolls up, parks directly behind our bikes, steps out casually
Tells us he received reports of motorcycles passing a bunch of cars
Tells us ranger that saw all of this is on his way up
Asks for all of our registration, licences, and insurance cards
Someone starts to say, "I dont have my license" and he snaps at them and gets in their face, "YOU DON'T HAVE A LICENSE?"
Person finished sentence "but here is my permit."
Ranger looks pissed
Other ranger arrives and 100% blocks us in, stands about 10 feet away arms crossed staring
Ranger says, "We're not issuing tickets today but we are giving you trespassing. You will not be able to enter the park again, if you do, you WILL be arrested"
Rangers get in cars, drive away, and one waits at the exit to escort us down
Escorted down and out
Leave and go home
100% of what happened above, we complied with everything but these rangers already had their minds set

i am sure your side of the story is 100% exactly what happened.
brb, gotta go water the lawn
I never once said I never broke the road laws. But that wasn't my point. Lawyers defend people who break the law, it's the whole point of the job.DrunkFace wrote:

Lawl, what the fuck? Have you ever been in trouble by the law before? You wernt charged with shit. The cops just don't go around willy nilly giving citations and traffic violations and just hope that maybe you will do something about it. If you were in trouble they would have followed it up.GodFather wrote:

So if I said you are banned from BF2S does that mean I banned you? Dumb assumption.GodFather wrote:

Welcome to the world of motorcycles. Don't think your hot shit because you're on a Gixxer, they do this to anyone on a bike, even those on 125CC Honda CBR's.GodFather wrote:

They gave you a warning and no official documents to prove you did anything wrong. How the fuck are they going to remember your banned if you never recieved any copy of what happened. How can they prove you did anything wrong without records?GodFather wrote:

I don't have a lot of sympathy for whingeing bikers TBH.
You were out on a fun run having fun, hard luck.
Like the guy who had a go at me, sorry mate, if you wear black clothes, a black helmet and ride an all black bike in the dark its unlikely anyone will see you.
And being a smartass with Police, Rangers etc is never going to end well.
