If the brother made up the story he should be fined imo.

Those sort of searches are really expensive to the taxpayer.

If you're ten years old and your dad tells you to do something, you fucking do it.

Also how the fuck do you fine a 10 year old?

I could fully see this as being a publicity stunt. I mean a balloon mysteriously becomes untethered, the kid mysteriously dissapears for an appropriate amount of time and the brother repeatedly lies and says he saw the kid crawl into the balloon... it just seems too coincidental. The whole Wife Swap thing and other evidence that suggests the family are a bunch of attention whores strengthens this.

I didn't know the older brother was 10, it didn't say in the article. Maybe you've had more coverage on it than me though. lol

But my point was that if he purposely lied to police he should cop some sort of punishment, reporting something like that when you know it's false is pretty serious. In this case, the father would be held responsible. Sounds like it was a stunt.

But the kid once sensing trouble would shift the blame, saying his father told him to say it.

I am sure if my dad told me lie to the police and it was getting serious and I was 10, I would tell them dad told me to so I don't get in any trouble.

Sorry Reaps, the Law doesn't work like that, trust me. Cases like this are more easily just thrown away then to drag it through court and cost a lot more $$$.
