So, I only recently discovered Pitchforck (yaya, ignorant foreigner etc), and I was wondering:

What kind of status does Pitchfork have? ie - how is it rated compared to other, similar sites?


Are there any sites that are better/worth having a look at?

I usually just use Amazon.com reviews when considering purchasing something. It's not so much a critical review as it is saying if it's worth listening to and having some fun with.

If I want critical stuff, I'll just go to metacritic and read the various reviews they have for something. Good to read the thoughts of people who loved something and people who hated it and see where you stand and can take in different points of view.
