Long story short:
I swore into the military because it's something I've always wanted to do.
Then I figure out my eyes don't qualify for the job I want, so I get discharged and get PRK eye surgery (about a week and a half ago).
Now I qualify but I have 6 months before I can reenlist because the military has a mandatory 6 month waiting period after any surgery.
So, now I'm stuck here wondering what to do with myself for the next 6 months.
The only constraint is that I must be able to work out wherever I am.
I am not limited by travel and money is not an issue.

What would you do?

How is money not an issue? If your rich, or your parents are rich, then I say screw the military and go live your life in your favorite city and achieve nothing but decadence.

If you mean you have enough money to blow for 6 months then I suppose take a trip to your favorite countries/country and live there for a while. Again doing nothing but indulging.

Okay, I should clarify. I would like to do something stimulating....or giving some value of worth, as if I'm not wasting my time for the next 6 months.
I know millions of people don't have jobs, but I'm not really looking for a job as much as I'm looking for an experience ...maybe something out of the box.

Do some type of charity work that could give you some sort of experiance that may be helpful towards the military or take some courses at a local college or attempt to learn a new language. Or hell all 3.

If money isn't an issue, why not check out your local community college and take a course or two.  It doesn't have to be related to the field you're going into, just something that interests you.

Good call. Might as well study Arabic and Farsi since you'll be spending quite a bit of time in that region

Well I guess exercising is not a problem. You can join a gym or just run around the neighbourhood.

But more importantly familiarise your self with Dari/Arabic language as much as possible in 6 months, and learn a bit about customs and culture of countries you are most likely to end up in (Iraq/Afghanistan)*.

* maybe Iran?

charity work is a good idea, but volunteering at the local soup kitchen isn't exactly an experience, as selfish as that may sound....
i have a 4-year business management degree and wish not to continue my education.

Get a job. Nothing fancy, just some way to make money before you're back in.

Join a faction that wont make you wait 6 months to begin. Hizbollah or the FFL maybe.

Work on a farm or ranch. Work out plus new experience. (Unless you've done that.)

phyiscally - I think no-one is ever prepared for BUDs ......... mentally - its shell shocker

6 months train up ...... phyiscally ( whatever you're routine is, better crank it up several notches ) mentally - its more then just the mind games they like to play they will get you, you need to study up on history of Navy, medical precedures, tactics, weapon structures, movements, etc etc
shooting - hit up the gun range

By the same token you better not go in overconfident or they will shred you a new asshole.

thanks for the advice, which is congruent with everything i've learned so far.
i will be as physically prepared as possible, and it will ultimately fall on a mental decision.

How the hell did you get in, and then they/you realise that you're medically unfit so you had to be discharged. Weird.
