It's a Knox SpecOps stock. It has built in recoil buffers/reducers. Feels more like shooting a 20 gauge with bird shot than a 12 gauge with 00 buck.

the round in the picture is .38 . hardly any kick, less noisy than the 9mm even.
the .357's kick like a fukin mule, the recoil is back (towards you) and then up and to the left.
being right handed, it took awhile to learn, not to fight the kick. it's fairly balanced, when using both hands.
