Alright, sorry if this has been answered before (as I'm sure it has). I tried searching a few times with no results. I want to get back into BF2 after 2 years, so I've forgotten all the BS you need to go through installing/patching this game to get it to work as it should.
First of all, my specs:
Windows 7 RC1 64-bit
i7 920, 6GB RAM, GTX 280 card (190.62 drivers)
2 x 300GB Raptor drives in RAID 0
I've partitioned the RAID0 into 2 (virtual) drives though; C: and B:. I've got just the OS on C: (small 30GB partition) and I install all my apps/games on B:. I installed BF2 fine on the B: drive and it runs fine. I went to install my Spec. Forces and patches, and they give me a "Can't find install folder for Battlefield 2(TM)" error after prompting me for my install language and clicking "next". It's apparent that it doesn't like the game being installed on anything but the C: drive, but there's gotta be an easy fix/workaround for this and I'd be greatly appreciative if someone could give me a solution for this.
What I've tried:
Running the installers as administrator.
Running the installers in compatibility mode with Win XP.
Thanks in advance for any help! Hope to get back on the BF soon!
