Christmas is coming up and I have a good amount of advertsing money saved up for my business. In the past I have concentrated on both Radio and Television advertsing. It does good but this time I have about twice as much as I did last year, so I'm looking to expand and dable in other medias. I have done print in the past but it was only for newspaper and it was a bust for me, it brought no customers and the newspaper industry is dieing business.

I have google adwords but I was thinking about putting in banner ads on certain sites. I advertsie on our local cable company but I want to expand to direct tv and dish ( tried in the past to get ahold of them but came up with nothing).

Sooooooooo I'm curious to see what catches your eye and your attention the most.

Newspaper ads don't do jack shit. You need your own insets or mail out flyers.

TV fo sho. I don't know anyone that likes/responds to internet ads, and the majority block them with Adblock.

Really depends on the product for me. Services usually do best with word of mouth. While tangibles fair well wih print. That's just me though.

tried flyers one time

print out 1000 flyers, postage ( discount for quantity ), paid printers

brought in 10 ppl ..... at least with the 10 ppl I was able to make back the cost and turn a profit

Internet advertising has over taken TV advertising revenue in the UK for the first time ever. So I would say internet is a good bet. Has many more advantages over TV advertisement, hence why its growing so fast.

Billboards have worked really well for the store I work at in the past but they are usually expensive. TV commercials are always a good bet and will most likely get you the most exposure for the money.

Radio works for me. I've become immune to TV ads or just DVR past them usually. Internet ads I block with NoScript and I never even look at the ads in print.

Billboards get me the most. I go through the same streets everyday seeing the same billboards. Then when I'm at the store I remember them and check them out. That's where I get it. Especially since I don't have television channels, just an awesome flatscreen and 100+ DVDs

TV for sure. They're long (30 seconds usually), you really don't have much of a choice but to watch them, and they're usually creative and even funny.

Hell, during the Super Bowl, we (Americans) LIKE to watch commercials. Capitalism ftw!
