Can't believe the driver on the line w/ 911 or the 911 operator didn't think to pop it in neutral or turn the motor off. Sad. Precisely why I have aftermarket ones that grip into the floor. They catch more debris, too.

I know the cars I have have floormats that are buttoned to the floor at each of the corners (metal push buttons). I daresay easier than clips, and they don't shift an inch.
