SYDNEY, Australia — A powerful tsunami generated by an undersea earthquake killed more than two dozen people and wiped out several villages in the tropical islands of American Samoa and Samoa early on Tuesday there, according to officials and local residents who were working to assess the damage.

I have a special place in my heart for Samoa because I spent about 9 months there learning many things I couldn't and/or didn't want to learn in Orange County. Hopefully no other countries in the region will feel the aftermath.

RIP and Fa'a Samoa.

We had three water main bursts just on Saturday.

Tsumanis suck. We had to evacuate several times due to Tsunami alarms. Thankfully they were false alarms, but still 100ft high wave moving at 100mph... We were told that if you can see it coming, it's too late.

RIP.
