lol, this is the same clown that smugly proclaimed that there was no problem with Fannie May and Freddie Mac.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke has warned that the bill would compromise the U.S. central bank's policy-making independence and could undermine financial markets and the economy.
This reminds me of when a crack addict is denied his pipe. Serious, this guy needs to go die.

Take about desperate measures.

Since the financial crisis struck two years, the Fed has used this emergency authority to prop up a number of non-bank financial firms with billions of dollars in loans, including insurer American International Group.
Which I guess, is why I ask even Barney Frank to do something. The Fed is out of control.

You know things are bad when even Frank is pushing for Fed Reserve reform (or when Frank is working with Paul, who is probably his ideological polar opposite).

And Rangle, omg.

Pretty fucking blatant.

Barney Frank makes me feel queasy. While I agree that the fed needs schooling, could there possibly be a more distrustful pos in the senate?

Oh wait, I forgot about pelosi.

The dems will get it handed to them mid-term. We will show them by electing republicans...

This is 1993 all over again...the Democrats overreach and then they get screwed in the next election.

Actually I don't mind having a Democrat president with a Republican Congress (i.e. Clinton years).

There you have a popular president so all the 'spin' is positive from all the media, while all the work, laws, etc..., is done by the Republicans.

With a Deomcratic president nothing too liberial can get though and with the Republican making the laws nothing too conservative gets through - how do you think we even got all those surpluses in the late 90s?

It was because neither party could get everything they wanted through.

And with the Iraq war winding down people won't hate the Republians as much.  Afghanistan though, rumors have it starting to end the middle of next year, but I'm not sure that's a good idea - I don't think Afghanistan could fight the Taliban or al-Quada...they would probablu just make peace deals with them.

The biggest obstacle for the Dems is the Dems. The Blue Dog Democrats have stood in the way of Cap 'n Tax, and now have forced a debate in healthcare. Thank god for Pelosi. She is very divisive in her party.

If you look at who is against the bill most of them are from districts that will be voted on in the next election.  Remember, not every congressman or representative has a cushy district that completely jerimanded for them.

I don't know what the Democrats are going to do before the election, but it better be lower taxes or something 'good' like that or else they are going to get the boot.

Just a side note here, but all House seats are voted on every 2 years.  I'm assuming you mean that the districts that are most contentious are where Democrats are reluctant to support this.
