After downloading and installing 1.5 , I tried testing it out.However everytime I try and join and server it says invalid cd key.Can anyone tell me step by step how to uninstall all of 1.5 so I can revert back to 1.41 and try and different install of 1.5?

Or can anyone tell me if I re download 1.5 from some where else and reinstall it if it will fix my problem.

I had the same exact problem, was a fuss for about 3 days, and it ended up being a corrupt 1.5 download, which is linked to many sites.  This i found to be a clean download   http://www.bigdownload.com/games/battle … v15-patch/  i would install this over the 1.5 you have right now, and if that does not work.  Reinstall bf2 applying this patch... good luck!

Just uninstall the game from the Programs menu in the control panel, then reinstall.

What's the link to the 1.5 file you downloaded?

Not sure where I got it , I know it made me install somthing called download manager to get it.I just googled BF2 1.5 patch and went to a site it brought up.

Simply installing the fresh download of 1.5 from the link you provided didn't work.I've completely uninstalled the game.I have special forces also should I install bf2 then 1.41 then SF then 1.41 again then 1.5?What would be the best way to do it?

BF2 > SF > 1.41 > 1.5

Yes, 1.5 is incremental, the huge size is because of the boosters.
