Starts August 31st, but prelims are over. Federer's first seed in Men's singles and Safina's first seed in Women's.

I'm pretty sure that Federer is going to win (I'm rooting for him too), I just hope that someone takes him to five sets.

I'm ambivalent about woman's, although if I had to pick, I'd go for Clijsters. She's the only player with consistency that I've seen.

What are your thoughts?

(If you're not into tennis and are going to post here to flame/bash, don't bother kthx).

I haven't watched tennis in a while (although I do play it) but I'm hopping too Federer will win. Clijsters still plays?

Nono, it all depends on your playing style.

I don't know how it all works (what qualities the different rackets have, head sizes, etc). I just know I prefer the small heads with tight, firm strings

To me the most important is the grip. I like thin handles and if its too thin I wrap a thicker grip around it.
